The countryside around Anoyira reminds one of the Cotswold's in England with its stone walls and Oak Trees except the the Oak Trees are Carob Trees and much smaller in size.

The village of Anoyira is inland from the southern coast of Cyprus, just a 30 minute drive from the cities of Limassol and Paphos. With an altitude of nearly 500m above the sea level, even the hottest of days the slight drop in temperature as you drive up from the coast is most welcome. Set in the most beautiful and unspoilt surrounding countryside, Anoyira is located on one of the wine trails of Cyprus (The region). Anoyira is also famous for its Pastelli, a delicious, chewy sweet made from the locally harvested carobs. At one time carobs were one of Cyprus’s main exports and many of the Carob warehouses are still to be seen down on the coast.

Excellent Halloumi Cheese and Yoghurt are also produced from an organic goat and sheep farm. Well worth seeking out!

The local Winery ‘ La Noyera’ boasts some serious wine. Whilst the ‘Oleastro Olive Press’ only 5 mins drive from the village, sells extra virgin organic olive oil - highly recommended!

There are 2 shops, a local Taverna with Swimming Pool where you can expect ’Home Cooking’ and a wonderful welcome in the true Cypriot style hospitality! There is a beautiful, old, Greek Orthodox Church and even a local barber should you require a haircut or shave!

Paphos, a 40 min drive away, is home to the most outstanding Greco / Roman antiquities and beyond Paphos visit the excellent bird / animal park, a fun day is promised for all the family.

Nearer to ‘home’ visit the Ancient Curium Theatre and take in the breath taking views, with the Mediterranean Sea as your backdrop. Try to be there at sunset!

Omodhos village (15 min drive) lying in the foothills of the Troodos Mountains, is a very pretty village with a stunning monastery. The Troodos Mountains is home to some charming resort villages and rich with ancient churches, home to wonderful Byzantine frescoes.
